The Stagecoach No3 service runs every 15 minutes from the interchange.

  • Wed 21 Feb 2018 - Howden. There is limited parking at the Wellington Hotel in Howden, so if members could car share as much as possible that would be very helpful. Please access the car park from Bridgegate through the archway immediately to the left of hotel.

  • Wed 6 Jun 2018 Beer and Boots Bookings are now being taken for the Beer and Boots walk from the Wold Top Brewery on 6th June. The Cost is £12. This should be handed to either Ian (walk leader) or the Treasurer.

The day will include an 8 mile walk from the Brewery following parts of the Wolds Way and Centenary Way visiting Camp Dale the site of a Roman camp and Stocking Dale.

After the walk there will be a substantial buffet and the opportunity for beer tasting. Two sample beers are included in the price. There will be an optional tour of the brewery if there is sufficient interest - there would be a £5 charge for this. Please let Ian know if you would like to go on the tour.

Those members not wishing to walk will be welcome to enjoy the buffet and beer and tour. They should arrive at 2pm. There is ample parking at the Brewery site.

  • Volunteer leaders are needed to complete this year's planned walks. Available dates are highlighed in yellow.

Nothing more to report.

Welcome to the Windmill Walkers' web site

Skidby Mill. The last working windmill in Yorkshire.
New name badges issued May 2016.

The Windmill Walkers Rambling Club was established in 1999. It was formed in Skidby, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, where you will find the only working windmill in East Yorkshire - hence the club name.

With a membership of over 80 adults, the club is managed by a committee of annually elected volunteers.

We concentrate on a programme of member led, weekly Wednesday walks of some 5 to 7 miles which attract around 30 walkers, and longer weekend walks once each month on the 3rd Sunday involving 10 or 12 regular walkers.

Wednesday walks usually start at 10:00am ending at about 1:00pm with an optional lunch at a suitable pub or cafe. We take a break at about 11am for a drink and snack. Most walks take place in the East Riding of Yorkshire with occasional visits to North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

If you would like to try a walk with us then please contact us by e-mail. We hope that you enjoy our company so much that after two walks you will want to become a member. Please wear adequate footwear and clothing. Whilst we take care when planning walks, when you do walk with the club, you are responsible for your own safety and ensuring that you are fit enough to take part.
