For planned walks please see the WALKS menu above.
This area will be used to show walk changes due to, for example, bad weather.
The closure is likely to last 6-12 months and is for emergency ground investigations and any subsequent safety works.
The only alternative route is via the roads and notices will be put up at all access points to the route.
They are likely to totally fence off the footpath both at the pub access point and at the eastern end of Riverside walkway. This is due to problems during the last closure of people ignoring notices and trying to pass by the ongoing works. On this occasion the initial works are likely to completely block the route, so it simply is not safe to have people passing by.
Nothing more to report.

The Windmill Walkers Rambling Club was established in 1999. It was formed in Skidby, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, where you will find the only working windmill in East Yorkshire - hence the club name.
With a membership of over 90 adults, the club is managed by a committee of annually elected volunteers.
We concentrate on a programme of member led, weekly Wednesday walks of some 5 to 7 miles which attract around 30 walkers, and longer weekend walks once each month on the 3rd Sunday involving 10 or 12 regular walkers.
Wednesday walks usually start at 10:00am ending at about 1:00pm with an optional lunch at a suitable pub or cafe. We take a break at about 11am for a drink and snack. Most walks take place in the East Riding of Yorkshire with occasional visits to North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
If you would like to try a walk with us then please contact us by e-mail. We hope that you enjoy our company so much that after two walks you will want to become a member. Please wear adequate footwear and clothing. Whilst we take care when planning walks, when you do walk with the club, you are responsible for your own safety and ensuring that you are fit enough to take part.
Annual membership is £10.00, renewable in January. Our constitution and membership application form are available in the Document Store.
Have a look at our 'Useful Links' page with details of other local and national organisations and suggested walks.
