From IP about our 2016 long distance walk.

The Windmill Walkers will be tackling another long distance walk in 2016 – The Wilberforce Way.

Below is a proposed list of dates for the 2016 long distance walk – the Wilberforce Way from Hull to York.

As in previous years the walk will take place on Monday’s in the Spring but excluding Early Spring Bank holidays (NB but inc. Spring Bank Holiday to make use of the bus service only available on Sundays and Bank Holidays).

This is a linear walk, but unlike previous years, there will mostly be no car sharing with the aim being to use public transport where possible or cars / sharing if members prefer, but making their own arrangements to get to the starting points. There will be no charge to members. However Stage 4 will require car sharing to make it work as there are no suitable buses. There is no compulsion to do every stage and members are encouraged to dip in and dip out as they wish. Some may not relish the longer distances but may wish to try a stage to see if they are up for it. This is a very flat walk with only Stage 3 presenting any significant climbing (880ft).

NB Departure time prompt in order to make returm bus times in some cases.
